Materials - ABSi (Methyl methacrylate-acrylonitrile-butadiene-stryrene copolymer)

Redeye is the only company that gives engineers the ability to manufacture real ABSi industrial thermoplastic parts direct from digital files. ABSi parts can be used from conceptual prototyping through design verification through direct digital manufacturing. Its strength is superior to ABS and the translucent nature of ABSi is beneficial for monitoring material flow and light transmission, most commonly used for medical and automotive applications. When combined with FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) systems, ABSi gives you Real Parts™ that are visually unique, dimensionally accurate, durable and hold shape over time.

This material has a higher impact strength than normal ABS and can be used for automotive lenses or other applications where transparency is required.

Available Colors

ABSi - translucent (natural), red translucent and amber translucent
Note: Translucent models require thin walls to get the desired effect.

Note: On-screen and printer color representations may vary from actual colors.

Achievable Accuracy
FDM models are produced within an accuracy of +/- .005 inch (+/- .127 mm) up to 5 inches (127 mm).

Accuracy on models greater than 5 inches (127 mm) is +/- .0015% for both units.

Note: Accuracy is geometry dependent.
